A course entrance, a route between holes and a playable putting surface are three different access questions. These Canadian examples show why a general accessibility tag is not enough to choose a course. The comparisons below use operator statements, not an accessibility inspection.

Operator publications and local-authority sources checked September 7, 2026. Planning analysis by the Mini Golf Canada Research Desk; not firsthand visits or guaranteed current offers.

Fluo S'amuse: choose the route before the ticket

In Quebec City, Fluo says route one accommodates wheelchairs and strollers, while route two accommodates strollers but is not arranged for wheelchair use. Its unlimited ticket covers both courses only when attendance permits. For a wheelchair player, that ticket does not create two equally usable routes. Request route one and ask how repeat play on that route works before paying extra. Two adults and two children pay $44 for one round or $70 for unlimited play under the published age bands; tax treatment is unspecified.

Wizards' Golf: playable is a more specific claim

Wizards' Golf in Niagara Falls explicitly describes its two-storey course as wheelchair accessible and wheelchair playable. That is more useful than a statement only about the front door, but it is still the operator's description. Ask how the route between floors works for your chair, whether a temporary equipment outage affects it, and whether every hole can be played from the seated position you need. The operator's Access2 instructions require presenting the card at the course sales booth for complimentary support-worker admission; follow its separate booth instructions when using a Fun Pass.

Hornbrook: distinguish physical access from companion cost

Hornbrook Hollow's Funhouse in Grande Prairie describes its eighteen-hole UV course as wheelchair- and stroller-friendly. It separately lists a $4.75 plus GST non-playing walkthrough ticket. That disclosure lets a group budget for a companion, but it is not evidence of a universal support-person concession. Ask whether your circumstances qualify for a different arrangement before buying. Use the Funhouse address, not the brand's separate seasonal Haunt near Grovedale.

A useful access enquiry describes the person and the route

Tell the venue the equipment width, whether transfers are possible and which surfaces or slopes are difficult. Ask for the route from arrival to reception, each playable hole, an accessible washroom and the exit. For fatigue, ask about seating and a shorter exit; for sensory needs, ask separately about darkness and sudden effects. These are questions to resolve, not claims that the three venues above provide every accommodation. A statement that a stroller fits does not answer all wheelchair-play questions.

Record the scope of an answer

Keep the date, the staff role and the exact route discussed. An answer about the entrance should remain an entrance answer; do not turn it into a certification of the whole course.
