There is no single useful duration for every course. Published estimates in these examples range from about thirty minutes to two hours, but they describe different layouts and do not all include queues, equipment pickup or travel. Use the estimate for the actual venue and build the rest of the outing around it.
Operator publications and local-authority sources checked September 7, 2026. Planning analysis by the Mini Golf Canada Research Desk; not firsthand visits or guaranteed current offers.
Compare four operator estimates, not a universal average
Putter's at La Broquerie describes about thirty minutes for eighteen holes. Centennial in Etobicoke gives approximately 45 minutes to an hour for its eighteen-hole mini-golf round. Tap-Ins in Cultus Lake suggests one to two hours for natural-grass putting, while Le Grand in Quebec City recommends roughly 90 minutes to two hours for fifteen golf holes plus three mini-hockey holes. These are operator estimates, not timed visits by our Research Desk, and their different formats explain why averaging them would be misleading.

Worked schedule: a 6 p.m. commitment after Le Grand
Suppose your next commitment is at 6 p.m. and you choose to reserve thirty minutes for travel plus fifteen minutes of personal buffer. Using the upper end of Le Grand's two-hour estimate puts the latest planned golf start at 3:15 p.m. Any check-in allowance must come before that start. The thirty- and fifteen-minute allowances are this planning scenario, not measured travel or a venue requirement. A booking at 4 p.m. would leave no such buffer under the two-hour estimate.

Closing time can mean two different things
Centennial says the last mini-putt round is sold one hour before its pro shop closes. Halifax Putting Edge instead permits the last game to start at closing time. Applying either rule to the other venue could lose the whole outing. Confirm the course-specific last admission on the visit date and ask how it relates to the displayed venue closing time.

Large groups do not all start together
Haunted Manor allows at most five guests per tee-time slot; groups of six or more need additional back-to-back slots. The first group's finish therefore does not establish when the whole party will finish. Ask how the operator spaces your slots, then allow for the last group before booking a shared meal or departure. Its suggested fifteen-minute early arrival for food or drinks is separate from course duration, and alcohol is not permitted on the course.

Repeat play belongs in the schedule only when wanted
Golf Fanatics advertises unlimited use of its nine-hole course at one admission price. That makes an extra circuit a possible choice, not a required part of the visit or evidence that the first circuit takes eighteen holes' worth of time. Confirm break and re-entry conditions before planning to leave for food and return. Keep optional rounds outside the minimum time needed for the outing.
