Edmonton: indoor setting or outdoor family-pass value?
West Edmonton Mall's two golf attractions share ticket age bands but offer different settings. Canada Golf Card is an outdoor alternative with a family package. The useful comparison is the price for your actual children's ages, plus whether the setting fits the day.
Source-based comparison by the Mini Golf Canada Research Desk, checked September 7, 2026. These are planning judgments from the linked publications, not firsthand course reviews. Prices and admission conditions can change.
| Your plan | What changes your choice |
|---|---|
| Blacklight golf indoors | Dragon's Tale supplies the glow setting. Its mirror maze is a separate attraction: the published $5 golf add-on is $2 less than buying a $7 standalone maze admission, but it is still an extra charge. | Another indoor mall option | Professor WEM's has the same listed general and child golf prices. Both mall ticket pages end tee starts 30 minutes before closing, so arriving before the mall closes is not enough on its own. Course details Sources: Dragon's Tale ticket categories; Professor WEM's ticket categories. |
| An outdoor round for an eligible family | Canada Golf Card offers 18 outdoor holes and a $44 package for two adults and up to three children from the immediate family. It is not a birthday-party package and cannot be combined with other discounts. Course details Sources: Canada Golf Card 2026 mini-golf prices. |
The 12-year-old changes the comparison
Two adults aged 35 with children aged 8 and 12, one course. Canadian-dollar published subtotals: Canada Golf Card adds GST; confirm mall tax treatment. No maze or other attraction is included.
| Ticket choice | Published total | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon's Tale | $71.00 | Only the eight-year-old falls in the published ages 3-10 category. Sources: Dragon's Tale ticket categories. |
| Professor WEM's | $71.00 | General admission begins at age 11. Sources: Professor WEM's ticket categories. |
| Canada Golf Card, separate tickets | $46.00 | Both children fit its ages 1-17 category. Sources: Canada Golf Card 2026 mini-golf prices. |
| Canada Golf Card, eligible family pack | $44.00 | Immediate-family condition applies. Sources: Canada Golf Card 2026 mini-golf prices. |
The family pack saves $2 against separate tickets for this four-person group. With a third eligible child, separate tickets would total $55, making the same package save $11. A party group cannot assume those family savings.
Do not transfer driving-range offers to mini golf
Canada Golf Card's page also advertises range buckets, lessons and range discount periods. Those are not the mini-golf tariff. Compare the separate 18-hole price section when deciding whether to add putting to a range visit. Sources: Canada Golf Card 2026 mini-golf prices.
